DESCRIPTION OF THE SCIENTIFIC PROJECT

Detecting the first signature of an ultrafast correlated photons avalanche. Simulation and comparison with mean-field theory.

METHODS AND TECHNIQUES

Advanced optical spectroscopy techniques. Numarical analysis of mean-field equations. Theory/experiment collaborative work.

APPLICANT SKILLS/ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Solid academic record in physics (quantum mechanics/optics; solid state physics). A taste for experimental physics accompanied by some therory/numerical analysis.
