Postdoctoral Research Fellow/Senior Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Theoretical Exciton-Polaritonics (Quantum Optics/Photonics)

Two Postdoctoral fellow openings are available in the group of Assoc. Prof. T C H Liew (https://web.spms.ntu.edu.sg/~tchliew/) at the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Nanyang Technological University. We are seeking fellows with expertise in theoretical exciton-polariton physics, quantum optics, condensed matter physics, or photonics. The appointed fellow may work in one or more of the following areas: hybrid light-matter coupled systems; polaritonics; photonics neural networks; quantum optics.

Requirements

1. PhD in theoretical condensed matter physics, theoretical quantum optics, or theoretical photonics.
2. An ability to work independently or as part of a team.
3. Good communication skills.
4. Postdoctoral fellows will be expected to travel regularly, presenting their results at international conferences.

Appointments

SGD 5,500-6,500 per month for starting post-doctoral researchers.

SGD 6,500-8,000 per month for experienced post-doctoral researchers.

The initial appointment is for one year, renewable up to two years. Research fellows are entitled to 21 working days of paid annual leave, a settling-in allowance of SGD 1,000 (for fellows arriving from overseas), comprehensive medical insurance under the University’s Flexible Benefits Scheme and annual bonus (up to 10% annual salary, subject to performance). Part-time/joint positions are also negotiable.
